Laverne Diede – Laverne is a native of Dickinson.  She has been with Dr. Melanie Oltmanns for nine years and has been a Certified Paraoptometric since 2001.  Her duties include Contact Lens Specialist, pre-testing patients and special testing procedures.  She enjoys working with people and providing a valuable service to our patients.

Laverne has been married to her husband Ron for 40 years, has three children, Rhonda, Kevin and Ryan, and has six grand children.  Her interests include spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.  She enjoys camping and outdoor activities and her family is active in church activities.

Denice Van Doorne – Denice began work with us in April 2006 as a receptionist.  She recently took on the position of Office Manager. Her position includes hiring and training new staff, accounts payable, daily deposits, bookkeeping duties, scheduling and supervising staff. She also schedules patients for their appointment sans patient check-in. She is also responsible for chart preparation and updating. Her job keeps her extremely busy.

Denice is married to Ron, a police officer of the City of Dickinson. When not at work, Denice enjoys spending time with her family. She has one son, Adam, a daughter-in-law, Alissa, and a new granddaughter Taylor, and a daughter Tessa who will graduate in May 2008 with her RN degree from DSU.

Carla Olheiser –Carla was born in Dickinson.  She is a Certified Paraoptometric.  Her duties include reception, insurance, pre-testing, and special testing.  She also assists in the dispensary as needed.  She has been part of the staff for two years and has enjoyed being in the eye care profession for over seven years. 

She and her husband John have three children.

Shauna Ordahl – Shauna is an American Board of Opticianry Certified Optician.  She has been with us since 2002 and passed the American Board of Opticianry Competency Exam in 2004.  Her duties include fitting, adjusting, repairing and dispensing eyeglasses, inventory management, and assisting in the optical finishing laboratory edging lenses as well as many other miscellaneous duties. 

In her spare time she likes to sew, read, scrapbook, and enjoys buying and selling on E-bay. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, her husband and their dogs and cats.

Lisa Beseler – Lisa is a Certified Paraoptometric and has been a member of the American Optometric association for the past five years.  She enjoys being part of the optometric community.  Her primary responsibility is pre-testing and special testing including visual fields, fundus photos and HRT testing.  She also files insurance and assists the reception area as needed.  She enjoys working with our patients and learning something new almost every day. 

When not working, she loves spending time with her husband Brian and her daughter Meghan.
