Our Team

Lisa was born and raised in Dickinson, and graduated from Dickinson High School. Lisa has had the pleasure to work for this amazing practice since August of 2000. She earned certification as a Certified Paraoptometric (CPO) in December of 2000. After that, she completed the next level of certification and earned the title of Certified Paraoptometric Assistant (CPOA). Lisa has been fully trained in every area of the office. She has spent time as a receptionist, worked as a technician in the medical department of the office and trained for basic adjustments and repairs in the optical department. Lisa has full knowledge of working in our in-house optical lab, verification of glasses, the process of cutting lenses into the frame and assembly of the glasses. In 2017, Lisa was promoted to the business manager of the office. Being the business manager is proving to be her best challenge yet! Lisa has two daughter, Meghan and Isabella; they are the light of her life. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her girls, their dogs and cats, family and friends.

Lisa’s favorite frame line is Jimmy Choo. They are very comfortable and always fit my face well! There is such a wonderful selection of different frame shapes and colors within the Jimmy Choo brand.

Laverne is a native of rural Dickinson, ND. She has lived in Dickinson, since 1978. Laverne began working with Dr. Melanie Miller in September of 1998 as a Paraoptometric. In 2001, she became a Certified Paraoptometic (CPO) and a member of the American Optometric Association. She has maintained her certification though continuing education. She specializes in patient care, pretesting, special testing, contacts, and low vision care. In her spare time, Laverne is a host of a local cooking show called Cooking Crave. They have 4 children and 7 grandchildren that keep them very busy.

Laverne’s favorite frame line is Jimmy Choo, because she loves their wide selection and sophisticated style.

Deidra is originally from Dickinson but also lived in Fargo, ND while attending college at Minnesota State University Moorhead. She has been a part of the Eyewear Concepts team since fall of 2013. She works with patients while pretesting, completing medical testing, contact lens training, and filing insurance. Deidra enjoys art, travel, fashion, and drinking coffee.

Deidra’s favorite frame line is definitely William Morris because of their original design aesthetic.

Trisha was raised in Dickinson and graduated from Dickinson State University in 2015. Trisha has been with Eyewear Concepts since October 2016. Trisha assists our patients while pretesting their exams, completing medical testing, contact lens training, and scribing for Dr. Miller. In her spare time, Trisha enjoys traveling, running, and spending time with her husband Andy and their two cats.

Trisha’s favorite frame line is Rag & Bone for their authentic, high-end style.

Chris was born and raised in Dickinson. She has been with Eyewear Concepts since April 2014. She is currently an Optician and Paraoptometric assistant. She works with frames and lens selection and adjustments as well as pretesting exams, performs special testing, and contact lens training. Chris is married to Aaron and has two daughters, Alie and Bree. In her free time, she likes to travel and spend time with family.

Chris’s favorite frame line is Etnia because of its comfort and the fun colors and designs.

Eric grew up in New England, ND and graduated from New England High School in 2001. He attended Dickinson State University and graduated with a bachelor’s of science in psychology and an associate’s degree in sociology. Eric started with Eyewear Concepts in September 2020 as a receptionist. His duties include welcoming patients to Eyewear Concepts, registering new patients, answering the phones, making appointments, checking insurance, and taking payments. In his free time, he enjoys gardening, spending time with his family and friends, and caring for his pet.

Eric’s favorite frame line is Crizal because of the style and quality.

In 2013, Trinity moved here from Deadwood, South Dakota. She worked at Deadwood Eyecare for 6 years as a paraoptometric and also helped out at the front desk and optical. She started at Eyewear Concepts in 2017 as an Optician, and in the fall of 2019, she moved to the Paraoptometric side and loves pretesting patients before they see the doctor. Trinity is married to Michael Bates and has two sons, Landon and Joseph. In her spare time, she likes to knit and ride ATV in the Black Hills with her family.

Trinity’s favorite line is Kate Spade. This collection recalls the 60’s and their influence is seen in both the design and colors.

Amber was born and raised in Dickinson. She graduated from Dickinson High School in 2009 where she met her husband Nicholas. Together they have two boys, Brody and Briar. Amber has been an optician with Eyewear Concepts since October 2019. She works with frames, lens selections, and adjustments. In her free time, she loves traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family and their three dogs.

Amber’s favorite frame line is Etnia Barcelona because they have a diverse selection of colors and frames!

Alyssa moved here from Dayton, Wy in 2011. She has been a receptionist with Eyewear Concepts since August of 2022. She has two kids Khyah and Kolson with her husband Irwin. She enjoys fishing and the mountains. Her favourite eyewear line is etnia Barcelona because of their edgy styles and colours.

Bailie moved to Dickinson in 2014 from Colorado. She joined Eyewear Concepts in June of 2022 and has her CNA license and wishes to become a certified Paraoptometric. She specializes in patient care, pretesting, medical testing, and contact lens ordering and is willing to help out wherever is needed.

She is married to her best friend Joshua and has 3 wonderful children together, Brody, Cooper, and Maisie. In her spare time, she loves being outdoors with her family, riding dirt bikes, helping the family with bucking stock, and cheering in the stands for wrestling. Her favorite line is Vorite frame line would be Rag and Bone as they have bold and trendy styles that you can wear every day while you stand out from the rest.

Alicia was born in Minnesota, but has called North Dakota her home since 2012. She started working as a paraoptometric in December of 2022.She works with patients for pretesting and medical imaging.

Alicia’s favourite parts of her job are meeting new people every day and taking OCT scans of the macula and optic nerve.

In her free time Alicia can be found hiking with her dogs, riding horses on the Maah Daah Hey or spending time with friends and family.

Rag & Bone is Alicia’s favorite frame line because of their bold and modern styles.
